YOU STOLE MY HEART, BUT I HAD IT FIRST NOW I SEE YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING TO PROVE AND NOTHING TO LOSE, SO LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH It was mornings like these where he wished he didn't have to fill in for Zachary at Lennox. It was day 12 without heroin, and he rarely ever slept these days or held down his food. But, recollecting the past week in his head, perhaps today wouldn't be so terrible after all. He never thought a student would ever catch his eye, but he couldn't help but gape over the sight of that beautiful girl. They didn't talk much, just the occasional flirtatious comment or smoldering stare. That wasn't enough for him though. But how could he dare think that way? She was just a kid. Or at least, to everyone else she was. It was either quit gazing at her curvey hips as she walked about the classroom, or lose his only job. It wasn't like he said much to her. It's not against the law to look right? Shaking his head, he leaned up against the balcony of his apartment, bringing one last drag of his cigarette to his lips. With a shakey hand, Kellen smashed his cigarette into the ash tray before sliding the glass door behind him. It was 7:50am, and he had to take over the music class for the day, again. With a sigh, he grabbed his keys and his school materials before storming out the door.
"I can't be late. I can't be late." He muttered as he sped past other vehicles in his black '66 Chevy. He didn't give a flying fuck about getting a speeding ticket at this point, keeping his job was much more important. He could barely afford to keep his apartment and put food on the table with a substitute's salary. 'ERRRREEEEEK' He cringed as he heard his tires burn rubber across the school parking lot, drawing many curious eyes. He already drew too much attention as it was. For some odd reason, Lennox didn't carry very many "average" teenagers. Most of them went about with their teased hair, piercings, and tight clothing. For this very reason, Lennox had no issue with hiring someone with his exterior. The headmaster figured that the kids would connect with someone better like Kellen, over a stuffy dress-shirt-and-tie type of instructor. The downside to this was that he caught too much attention from young hipster girls at times. 'Except for Jenna . . Damn, I wouldn't mind-' Cutting off his own thoughts, he caught himself in this moment. 'What the hell am I thinking? Shit Kellen . . Don't let some teenager get you all worked up'
Slamming the car door, Kellen grabbed his shit and made a run for the music room. Skidding to a halt at the entrance to his class, he sauntered inside. His entire class were already in their seats, and as usual most of them didn't hesitate to greet him as he walked in, although he could only pick out a couple individual voices as everyone else talked in a huge mass. "You're teaching again?" Scoffed the little bastard, who always seemed to sit in the back of the class. But, of course there were the students who were happy that he came around for the third time this week. "What'suppp Mr. Z!" Shouted the stoner dead set in the middle. "Well hello there, Kellen." Looking up, to see a dainty blonde with a suggestive smile on her face. With a few bats of her long lashes, she smiled even wider. And with that, Kellen couldn't help but roll his eyes, before peering over at Jenna across the room. His chocolate eyes couldn't help but get lost as he snuck a peek at Jenna's beautiful facial structure, only to notice a frown upon that little face of her's. He instantaneously found himself wondering about Jenna and what on Earth could be upsetting the girl. Why it bothered him so much so see this girl so distraught was beyond him. It was then that he noticed that the dainty blonde was following Kellen's stare, realizing his gaze led straight to Jenna, she grimaced and turned back around in her chair with 'hmph'. There was silence in the air. Realizing this, Kellen quickly cleared his throat loud enough for the class to hear, and turned his attention back to his materials. "Hello ladies and jerk-offs. Mr. Gallagher couldn't make it today," Asshole. He cursed to himself. Zakky was lucky Kellen loved the guy so much, otherwise he'd be dead asleep at this hour. "SO unfortunately you're stuck with me for the entire period." There were a few moans and groans throughtout the class. He chuckled, as he slammed his books onto his desk. 'I know, I know. It is way too damn early for this." He cooed, before distributing a stack of music sheets around the room.
Throughout the entire period, he developed a routine from looking over at the clock every 5 minutes, to peering over at Jenna to study the depressing expression upon her face. He couldn't help but wonder if she caught him staring, he had to be more careful than he was. He didn't want other students thinking he had a thing for their fellow classmate. Did he . .? This was the first time a class ever felt so long and grueling. Turning back and forth in his swivel chair, as he consistantly tapped his pen upon his wooden desk, Kellen finally came to the conclusion that he had to know what was up with this girl. I'm just going to have a small teacher intervention with one of my students, NOTHING else Kellen . . Nothing else. His heart nearly burst out of his chest as a bell thrung throughout the entire Lennox campus. The period was finally over. "You're all excused." As the students began to file out of the classroom, he was sure to catch Jenna. "Nu huh. 'Cept for you Jenna. I want you to stay behind with me for a moment." He smiled, with a small wave of his index finger. Approaching her desk, Kellen plopped into the seat closest to her, just barely fitting without getting wedged inbetween. With a grin, he quickly scooted himself and the desk towards her until he was as close as he could possibley get. Shifting in his seat uncomfortably, he briefly wondered if he'd even be able to get out of this stupid chair. "You'd think they would make these fucking things bigger." He stated, before making himself comfortable. It was like him to use profanity in front of everyone, including his students. There are just some habits he can't break these days, and having a sailor's mouth was definately one of them. "What's up, sweetheart? I know something is botherin' you, it's written all across your face." Tilting his head to the side, he reached over and placed his hand atop of her's gentley. "I promise it'll stay between you and me. ------- ooc; Holy shit. Longest post I've done in years. I'm sorry its SO long, I was just trying to get in a little bit of Kellen's lifestyle and mannerisms. I DON'T expect your post to be this long, because I know my next posts won't be this long at all. lol.

Jenna was having one of the worst school days of her life. Nothing had gone right from the fact that she had forgotten to do laundry the night before and ended up going to school in her brothers tee shirt. To the fact that she had just gotten into a huge argument with a guy that she though was so different. Things had started out so perfect. He was sweet and he wasn't her usual type. She stepped out of her comfort zone and given her heart to someone who wasted it. She wasn't sure if she should keep trying or just give up on the idea of love. She was hurting and once she got over it, she didn't know if she wanted to risk the pain again. The saddest part of her having the worst school day of her life was the fact that school hadn't even started for the day. So Jenna found herself sitting in the empty music room, where she had planned on practicing her solo but instead she was faced with a fight.
All she wanted was to go home and lay in her bed. Today she wasn't going to be her usual bubbly self, but it was normal for someone to be sad after that. Jenna wanted nothing more than to be loved. She wanted someone that wanted nothing more than take her on a random date. Or randomly buy her a teddy bear just to say "I Love You." But the way things had been going for the girl, made her want to give up on love and everything that came with it. She didn't know if she would ever find that kind of guy. She didn't know if she would ever be able to find someone that would love her the way she wanted to be loved. The bell rang to signal that it was time for everyone to make their way to first period. Mr. Gallagher wasn't in the room yet, so Jenna knew that he probably wouldn't be there that day. She was a little disappointed only because he kept the class laughing and interested. She figured it would help get her mind off of the issues that she had going for her. But she would just have to tough it out on her own.
Students started to shuffle into the room and there was still no substitute. She sighed and layed her head on her desk. She heard tires squeel in the parking lot and knew that someone was trying to get to their class on time. She rolled her eyes and sat up. Something inside of her wanted to light up whenever she saw Mr.Zaine enter the room, but she knew that a twenty-two year old man would never have feelings for a seventeen year old girl. Especially one that looked as terrible as she did that morning. Her make-up was waterproof, but her cheeks were puffy and tear stained and her eyes were red from the crying. She sighed and looked at her desk.
Jenna's eyes rolled as she heard people make rude comments and she almost laughed when she caught an ear of the bimbo trying to flirt with him. When Kellen slid a piece of sheet music in front of her she refused to make eye contact with him. She didn't want him to lay eyes on her face when it was so messed up. She figured that she just had a little school girl crush on him and it wouldn't go anywhere. The rest of the period was pretty quiet people made the occasional joke or did something dumb, but soon enough class was over. Everyone was dismissed but Kellen told Jenna to stay behind. She only nodded and stayed in her seat. He came and sat close to her. He said something about not fitting into the desk and she couldn't help but laugh a little. "Maybe someone should lay off the twinkies" she said patting his stomach a little. That was really the first time she had smiled that day. She sighed and put her hands back on her desk. His hand soon followed and one was placed ontop of one of her own. He asked what was bothering her and she couldn't stop her heart from fluttering when he said sweetheart. She shook her head and let a tear slip down her cheek. She quickly tried to wipe it, but failed as another fell. "My day's just been bad Mr.Z" she said putting her hand on the side of her face and leaning her head to look at him. "I'm stuck wearing my brother's shirt, i had to walk to school today, and ..." she didn't know if she could really talk about her love life with him. And it kind of hurt to mention it. "And i'm giving up on finding someone that loves me." she said turning her face away from him. She didn't even know why she was opening up so much it wasn't like her.

YOU STOLE MY HEART, BUT I HAD IT FIRST NOW I SEE YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING TO PROVE AND NOTHING TO LOSE, SO LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH "Maybe someone should lay off the twinkies" With a roll of his eyes, Kellen snorted. "You callin' my fat?" Leaning back in his chair, he slowly rested his hands behind his head before giving them a quick flex. He suddenly felt like he was a sixteen year old again, trying to prove to his highschool crush that he just had some muscle. Realizing he was more than likely making an ass of himself, he quickly cleared his throat and hesititantly placed his hand over her's once more. Kellen couldn't help but notice how small her hands were compared to his, feeling the urge to play with her hand, he then moved his hand away. A darkness washed over him, as he watched the tears fall from her cheek. "My days just been bad Mr. Z." "No, please, call me Kellen." His voice was soft, and his smile was small, but his eyebrows furrowed at the small crack in her voice, as his eyes attempted to read her sadness. "I'm stuck wearing my brother's shirt, I had to walk to school today, and ... And I'm giving up on finding someone that loves me." Resting his chin in his palm, he wasn't surprised to hear this, or at least the last part. Teenage boys cared of nothing more but themselves and who could get the most pussy. It was repulsive. He was a teenage boy once too, but never was society as bad as it was these days. Where had all the respect gone? A slight rage began to burn within his chest. This poor girl didn't deserve that. He didn't even have to know the whole story to know that her heart didn't deserve this break. Men are pigs. Scratch that, little boys are pigs, that can never stop to appreciate the amazing girl that they already have. Even I could treat her better than that . . He pondered at this thought. He grimaced at the thought of relationships in general. The fighting, the crying, the lying, and calling of names. He supposed that women weren't all they were cracked up to be either. They never did end well with him, but that never stopped him from trying. He just craved to find the one that would love him unconditionally at the end of the night, no matter what the fight may have been. That seemed to be too much to ask in his book, so for the past six months, he just plain gave up. A promise that he wouldn't let himself he caught up with the opposite sex once again. But this girl, couldn't help but catch his attention. From his first time here at Lennox, to this very day, he always seemed captivated by her presence. It didn't matter to him that she was wearing a man's t-shirt, or that her eyes were flushed and puffy from the tears, he hardly even noticed for the fact that her beauty reverberated throughout the room. To hear that she couldn't find someone to love her was beyond him. Who couldn't love a girl like that? Fuck it. He was going to go for it. Damn it all to hell.
He chuckled, "You're not allowed to cry over wearing your brother's shirt, being that you look adorable as hell in it." He grinned, his voice slightly hushed. Here we go, he thought. "You're looking for love in all the wrong places, Jenna. You can't waste your time with all these little boys." He gestured his hand towards the classroom door, near the entrance you could hear a faint conversation between two love-starved boys. "Man, I fucked the hottest chick last night." "Hit it and quit it?" "Hit it and quit it, brooo." With a bust of laughter, a clap-like sound was then heard, Kellen figured that to be them highfiving. Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to the girl before him. She was wasting her time with these boys, when she should be with someone who could support her and take care of her. And no girl was going to find that within these school walls. Unless he was older . . Leaning towards her, he gave a cheeky smile. "You haven't found love, because you haven't been with a real man before." A smirk creeped upon his lips, "An older man." He winked. His career at Lennox was the last thing on his mind at this point. There was just something about this girl that pulled him in. Her being a minor, and his student just didn't seem to matter in this moment. His right leg shook beneath his desk with anxious anticipation for her response.

Kellen was doing a pretty great job at making her laugh. It was so simple, yet she couldn't help but get a kick out of it. His snort was the cutest thing she had ever heard and it made her smile a small smile. She saw his little flex and rolled her eyes. Things were so weird in her life and she didn't know if she would be able to put her heart out on the line to someone, when she didn't even know if he thought of her like that. Jenna figured that he though of her as just another student and he was just trying to make her feel better. "No Sir, I would never call you fat." she said with a small wink. She hated how naturally flirty she was.
She nodded silently when he said not to call him Mr.Z. Not that she was complaining, Kellen was such a sexy name for the man. She could tell that he wasn't happy that she was so upset. She could tell that he didn't like to see her cry, but no man really enjoyed to see a woman cry. Except for the psyco's that lived for crazy shit like that. Jenna knew that she deserved so much more than what she was letting herself settle for, but all she wanted was for someone to love her. She hated having this huge crush on Mr. Kellen Zaine. It was hard for her to even concentrate and she realized that she just needed to stop. No grown man would risk his job, and better yet his reputation to sweep her off her feet. All she wanted was someone with more respect from her. Someone who didn't expect to have sex on the first date. Not that Jenna didn't like to have sex. She just hated people thinking that she was so easy. After the mornings events, she knew that the boys at Lennox only thought of her as an easy lay. It broke her heart that she had let herself become that. She pulled her phone out of her pocket and sighed as she realized that her waterproof mascara wasn't so waterproof. She wiped the small black river and sighed.
Jenna cracked a small smile when he said that she looked adorable. Her cheeks even flushed a deep pink. "Yeah right." she said with a small roll of her eyes. "I look like i'm wearing a shirt that is two sizes too big, oh wait i am." she said looking down at herself. The only good thing about her shirt was that it was a V-Neck and it showed her clevage pretty well. She stopped thinking about her clevage and listened to Kellen talk. He was so right. She had been wasting her time on boys who were so immature. When she heard the conversation at the door she rolled her eyes. "Smash and Pass." she said with a small chuckle.
She looked back and Kellen and saw the smirk. His wink made her heart flutter. It took her a minute to realize that he was insinuating that she hadn't been with a real man and that he could be. "Mr...I mean Kellen." she paused. Had all her assumptions been wrong? "A-are you saying that you're that real man?" she asked. She was so confused and her cheeks were the color of beets. All she wanted to do was tackle him and kiss that man, but it wouldn't be very appropriate.

YOU STOLE MY HEART, BUT I HAD IT FIRST NOW I SEE YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING TO PROVE AND NOTHING TO LOSE, SO LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH "Mr... I mean Kellen." Thank ful that she did not call him Mr. Zaine, he stifled a sigh of relief. But the pause in her sentence was pure agony. What would she say? Would she reject him? Would she call him a child molester? After watching many Lifetime movies with his mother, that seemed to be how those movies went with students and teachers. The innocent teacher gets framed for sexual harrassment. He bit his lip out of anxiety. Was he setting himself up for disaster? "A-are you saying that you're that real man?" Music to his ears. She sounded intrigued, yet slightly confused by this idea. And judging by the redness flooding across her cheeks, she was very flattered. The confusion made her seem so innocent, which he favoured to be absolutely sexy. He knew for a fact that this girl wasn't innocent, he could see it in her eyes, and the fact that she chose to act this way made him want her even more. Before answering her question, he looked over at the classroom door, which was clearly still wide open. Raising his index finger in a 'one second' gesture, he forcefully squeezed himself from his seat, and sauntered towards the door. After peering around the corner to see who was around, he gently closed the big wooden door. If he was going to do this, he was going to do it right. Looking over at her, he grinned before making his way through the maze of tables to get back to her. This time he kneeled down on the floor beside her chair, at perfect eye level with her, it was times like this that his tall stature came in handy.
Placing one giant hand on her dainty knee, he leaned in fairly close, merely a couple inches apart. "I've been watching you for quite some time. Trying to tell myself that a student couldn't be catching my attention. But yet, here we are." He breathed, his normal vocal tone was dropped to a raspy whisper. Looking down for a moment, he casually stroked her knee before taking hold of her lower thigh and giving it a quick squeeze with a rough hand. For a moment he wondered what it would be like for someone walked in, a teacher leaned in so close to a student, his hand on her leg, alone with the door closed. Suddenly he pulled it away as if his palm were burned. He couldn't get carried away with his ever-so-obvious feelings, especially without hearing how she felt about him. "Yes. Yes I am saying that I'm that real man. I could treat you better than any of those little boys out there ever could." He stated, quickly waving in the direction of the classroom entrance. "I know how to take care of a woman, and not in just one way. But, in oh so many ways . ." A suggestive smile spread across his lips, as his voice drifted off. "Sometimes things can be so wrong, in all the right ways." It was then he realized how right he truly was. This was so wrong, but in all the right ways. He would make this seventeen year old his, he didn't care what it took. Perhaps even his job . . But, no, he didn't want to think about something like that. Losing his job was out of the question, yet here he was setting himself up for that risk.

YOU STOLE MY HEART, BUT I HAD IT FIRST NOW I SEE YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING TO PROVE AND NOTHING TO LOSE, SO LET ME TELL YOU THE TRUTH Her giggle made his breath catch deep in his throat. And to be honest, that smile of her's sent a sensation of tingles down to his pants. "I just don't want you to get in trouble. I don't want you to lose your job." The risk had already begun to excite him in every way, as he listened to her mention of his career. The possibilies of prison, getting fired, and all the ridicule . . It all seemed to be worth it for some reason. If he just had her, he would be perfectly fine with that. Of course, he would try to keep this under wraps as long as he possibley could. But it wouldn't be long before someone caught them, and hopefully that person would have the heart to turn the other direction. "I think I'd rather take the risk." Returning the eye contact she was giving him, he smiled sincerely for the first time in a long while, making his brown eyes all squinty. Reaching up towards her face, he gingerly moved a stray hair with his fingertips, and slid them down her cheek for a split moment. "How about Saturday night? I'll take you wherever you want." Part of him regret saying that. Living off of a substitutes salary was difficult enough, but asking a girl out on a date and telling her that she can go anywhere she wants? That right there was just murder. He grimaced at the thought of only having a few bucks to his name. The last girl he spent his time with had a knack for cleaning him out of his money. He bought her everything she wanted, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Tiffany & Co. Mentally he was crossing his fingers that hopefully this girl would be different, and take it easy on his wallet.
Before anything else could be said, his pager went off. He hated this blasted thing, but his boss required that he wear it whenever on school campus. Lennox always had teacher confrences coming out the ass. He supressed a deep sigh, before looking back into Jenna's eyes. "I'm sorry . . But I have to leave in a minute or two, sweetheart." For once, he was actually disappointed. He could feel his face falling at the thought of having to leave. "No worries about giving me your number. I'll get it from your file. It's a teacher thing." He winked. It was from this point that he knew that she would be the death of him.
------- ooc; Short-ish. But it's a finishing up post anywaysss
